Corporate Philosophy
"Bring relief to everyone suffering from problem skin"
Medical cosmetology Dr. Ci:Labo is a company launched in 1999 under the corporate philosophy of "bringing relief to everyone suffering from problem skin."
We aim to contribute to society by providing valuable products that support health and beauty. Our mainstay products are skin care cosmetics developed from the perspective of dermatologists.

The cosmetics division mainly offers skin care cosmetics products. It offers a large variety of skin care products for all ages - from low-stimulant cosmetics meant to cause as little stress as possible on the skin to highly functional anti-aging products.

In Japan, this division focuses mainly on the Dr. Ci:Labo products and aims to win new customers by actively developing new products. At the same time, the renewal of existing products is also increasing sales.

In addition, as a strategic brand product for the medical cosmetology market, we have signed an exclusive distributors' agreement in Japan with Cosmetic Dermatology Inc., a US firm, and are now marketing the dr. brandt products.

Overseas, the company is conducting promotions mainly on Aqua Collagen Gel Super Moisture mainly through counseling type sales. We are implementing policies to raise brand recognition.

The Health Foods Division offers supplements and foods that help consumers maintain health and beauty from the inside. We are building Aojiru into the mainstay product of this division.

The Appliances & Other Division is a division that supports the cosmetics division. It offers mainly the ultra sonic sound appliance Aqua Sonic, Ionical EX, the ion infusion device.

 
   
 
Sales Channels
Mail order sales Orders are accepted mainly at call centers, but also online or via postcards or fax. We aim to offer services where customers can see a human face even when placing mail order sales.
Counseling type sales We operate Dr. Ci:Labo corners in directly managed stores, prestigious department stores and shopping centers.
Wholesale We sell our products mainly to variety shops and convenience stores.
Overseas We market our products in Taiwan, Hong Kong and North America among other places. We plan to expand sales in the rest of Asia.

February 1999 Dr. Ci:Labo Co., Ltd. was founded in Tokyo, starting with mail order sales of six skin-care products, including Aqua Collagen Gel.
March 2000 The company broke into the health food business.
December 2000 The company began selling ultrasonic beauty machines.
February 2001 The publication of the member's magazine, "Ci:Lover," was launched.
April 2001 The distribution center was set up in Kawaguchi City, Saitama-Prefecture.
May 2001 The company opened its first counseling type retail store in Nagoya's Meitetsu Department Store.
November 2001 The company started sales through online shops.
February 2002 Sales of the new brand Genomer began.
March 2003 The company became publicly listed on the JASDAQ stock market.
December 2003 Sales of the new brand Labo Labo began.
January 2004 First Hong Kong store was opened.
May 2004 First Hawaii store was opened.
October 2004 The company opened the Osaka sales office.

The subsidiary Ci: investment Co., Ltd. was established.
The subsidiary MD science Co., Ltd. was established.
August 2006 The company's call center at Ebisu moved to Ikebukuro
April 2007 Sales of the new brand dr. brandt began.
January 2008 First Malaysian store was opened (by a distributor.)
